Add accompaniment to your own vocal recording in EasyMusic
Use Add instrumental in EasyMusic to choose a vocal or audio passage, describe optional instrumentation and generate a new version with accompaniment.
Follow this guide in the studio ↗Open Add instrumental to explore a backing arrangement for audio already in EasyMusic. Select the passage, name the result and optionally describe the musical setting; your original recording remains available.
Open the tool for your song
In EasyMusic, open a completed song’s … → Add instrumental menu. From the Library, this action hands the selected song to the music generator and opens its operation dialog. Check the source title and play it before changing anything; related versions can look very similar.
Prepare a source you can judge
A clear solo vocal is a useful starting point for this workflow. Choose a recording with an intentional melody and reasonably steady phrasing; avoid multiple competing singers, heavy room noise or a spoken description when you intend a sung result. These are preparation suggestions, not guarantees of a particular musical outcome.
Upload an owned MP3 or M4A if the source is on your device, or use a completed library song. You can also separate the vocal from an authorized full mix, download that vocal and upload it as a new source. Check it for instrumental bleed first. Separation does not turn every recording into a perfectly isolated vocal.
Choose the range and accompaniment direction
Open the operation, listen to the source and drag the range handles around a complete phrase. The interval must have a positive duration and stay within the source. Preview it, including the start and ending, before you spend credits.
Enter a title of up to 80 characters. The optional Style field accepts up to 1,000 characters. Describe the main instrument, rhythmic feel, energy and space around the vocal. There is no lyric input in this panel; use Add vocals if the job is to supply new sung words.
Paid access and enough balance are required. The current charge is 10 credits, displayed before creation. Uploading the source and separating tracks are separate operations with their own costs. Submit once, then wait for a new result rather than assuming the source card is being replaced.
Compare how the backing supports the voice
Listen for clashes with the vocal melody, unexpected tempo movement, crowded low frequencies and endings that arrive too early. A busier arrangement is not automatically an improvement. Start with one lead instrument and light support, then use Smart refine to request a specific adjustment if the overall direction works.
The output is newly generated audio, not a guaranteed unchanged vocal plus a separately editable backing stem. Compare voice, words and timing as well as instruments. Keep the original recording until you have chosen and downloaded a final version. A source that lacks a clear melody may need a better recording or a different creative approach.
Try a focused version
For a night-drive demo, request “warm guitar, a steady soft beat and an intimate vocal” and listen to the same phrase in both source and result. If the accompaniment masks the words, ask for fewer instruments or a softer rhythm in a later refinement. To compare alternatives fairly, keep the source range fixed and change one arrangement instruction at a time.
