Replace a timed lyric segment in a generated song

Use Edit Music in EasyMusic to replace words inside an existing song. Select a complete musical passage, supply the replacement and compare the new result with the saved source. This operation changes an existing time window; it does not add a section beyond the song.

Open an eligible source

In EasyMusic, open a completed song’s … → Edit Music menu. From the Library, this action hands the selected song to the music generator and opens its operation dialog. Check the source title and play it before changing anything; related versions can look very similar.

Wait for the audio and aligned lyrics to load. The editor needs usable timed lyric data. A partial result, unsupported source or uploaded file without that data may not be editable this way. Uploading a recording does not guarantee a word timeline. If the panel reports unavailable timing, keep the source and consider a written revision request through Smart refine.

Select a complete passage

Use the waveform range handles together with the synchronized words to set the replacement area. The current maximum is 120 seconds. Choose a positive-duration interval within the source and include the words you intend to replace; selecting empty time alone is insufficient. Preview the highlighted range before writing.

Begin before the phrase’s pickup and end after its last held syllable where possible. A range that cuts a word in half makes the entrance and exit harder to assess. Use a whole line or a small coherent section, and adjust the boundary if the selection misses the target words. A shorter interval is useful only when it still contains a natural musical thought.

Write words that fit the musical space

Enter the replacement lyric, preserving roughly the same amount of singable material. Check stress, syllable density, long vowels and final rhyme. A corrected name may fit easily; a much longer explanation may need a different line rather than faster delivery. Do not treat equal character counts as equal singing rhythm.

This is a paid operation, currently 10 credits. Check the amount and account eligibility before submitting. A new result is created; the source remains available. Listen to the sentence before the edit, the entire new passage and the sentence after it. Confirm both the intended words and the quality of the transitions.

Keep an edit note and choose a version

Record the source title, time range, old words, new words and purpose. For a night-drive demo, solve one wording problem first and compare both versions at a similar volume. If pronunciation improves but the musical join worsens, try again from the original with a more complete phrase.

Use song extension for an additional section. Use Smart refine for several textual or arrangement requests, remembering that it generates a new performance and may change other details.
